The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB
At 23:27:37 UT on 29 Dec 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241229C (trigger 757207662.335616 / 241229978).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 219.8, Dec = 15.3 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 14h 39m, 15d 18'), with a statistical uncertainty of 16.2 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 12.0 degrees.
