We observed the field of EP250828a (Liu et al., GCN 41574) using the Nordic Optical Telescope (NOT) located in La Palma (Canary Islands, Spain). Observations were carried out in the r and z filters.

The previously reported counterpart (candidate) within the EP/FXT error circle by Seimei (Taguchi et al., GCN 41582) and SVOM/VT (Yao et al., GCN 41583) is detected in our stacked r-band image and has decayed to r ~ 24.4 (AB) at a median time of 0.634 day post-trigger, calibrated with PanSTARRS-DR2 and not corrected for Galactic extinction. We thus confirm it is the counterpart of EP2508028a.
