The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 05:25:50 UT on 12 Jan 2026, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 260112A (trigger 789888355.72541 / 260112226).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 326.5, Dec = -37.8 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 21h 45m, -37d 47'), with a statistical uncertainty of 18.3 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 112.0 degrees.
