The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB

At 23:07:06 UT on 20 Jan 2026, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 260120C (trigger 790643231.34709 / 260120963).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 262.0, Dec = 3.4 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 17h 27m, 3d 23'), with a statistical uncertainty of 9.3 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 108.0 degrees.
