The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 16:50:06 UT on 4 Feb 2026, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 260204B (trigger 791916611.958652 / 260204701).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 338.5, Dec = -50.1 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 22h 33m, -50d 06'), with a statistical uncertainty of 6.4 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 70.0 degrees.
