The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 21:42:45 UT on 8 Feb 2026, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 260208D (trigger 792279770.48211 / 260208905).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 327.7, Dec = -39.0 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 21h 50m, -39d 00'), with a statistical uncertainty of 6.9 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 51.0 degrees.
