The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 02:45:57 UT on 9 Feb 2026, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 260209A (trigger 792297962.23625 / 260209115).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 75.8, Dec = 33.0 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 05h 03m, 33d 00'), with a statistical uncertainty of 9.2 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 87.0 degrees.
