The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB
At 09:18:12.01 UT on 17 February 2026, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 260217A (trigger 793012697/260217388).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data,
is RA = 278.43, Dec = -5.30 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 18h 34m, -5d 18'),
with a statistical uncertainty of 11.59 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 91 degrees.
