The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 23:54:23 UT on 8 Jun 2026, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 260608C (trigger 802655668.086186 / 260608996).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 245.4, Dec = 47.8 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 16h 21m, 47d 47'), with a statistical uncertainty of 9.6 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 122.0 degrees.
