report on behalf of the KAIT GRB team:

The 0.76-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT), located at

Lick Observatory, observed the field of SVOM GRB 261026A (Goto

et al., GCN 46030) starting at 06:11:44 UT, 127 seconds after SVOM

trigger. Observations were performed in 3 x 3 tiling mode, and a

set of clear (roughly R) filter images were obtained. In one of

the fields, we detected the uncatalogued source reported by Dornic

et al. (GCN 46033) with a mag of 18.1 +/- 0.1 mag at 290 seconds

after the burst. The object continued fading in our follow up

observations, we therefore confirm it to be the optical counterpart

of GRB 261026A. Observations are on going.
