U.Quadri, L.Strabla, R.Girelli and A.Quadri report:
We imaged the field of GRB 130513A (INTEGRAL trigger 6842; Mereghetti et
al., GCN 14630) with the robotic telescope of (IAU station 565)
Bassano Bresciano Observatory, Italy.
The observations started (after the dusk) 12h 19m after the
GRB trigger, with our Schmidt telescope D=400 mm F/D=3
Weather conditions were very good.
We co-added 2 series of 10 unfiltered CCD exposures of 120s each.
We did not found any optical counterpart in the
Swift-XRT error circle (Evans & Marshall, GCN
Circular 14635) at our following limiting magnitude:
.
Start End Mlim
T0+ T0+
12.3h 13.0h 19.0
Magnitudes were estimated with the USNO-B1 cat.
and are not corrected for galactic dust extinction.
The message may be cited.

We observed the field of GRB 130513A (Mereghetti, et al., GCN Circular
14630) with the Reionization and Transients Infrared Camera (RATIR;
www.ratir.org) on the 1.5m Harold Johnson Telescope at the Observatorio
Astronómico Nacional on Sierra San Pedro Mártir from 2013/05 14.15 to
2013/05 14.16 UTC (19.97 to 20.30 hours after the BAT trigger),
obtaining a total of 0.18 hours exposure in the r' and i' bands and 0.07
hours exposure in the Z, Y, J, and H bands.
For a source within the Swift-XRT error circle (Evans & Marshall, GCN
Circular 14635), in comparison with USNO-B1 and 2MASS, we obtain the
following upper limits (3-sigma):
r' > 22.64
i' > 22.65
Z > 21.34
Y > 20.65
J > 20.26
H > 19.71
These magnitudes are in the AB system and not corrected for Galactic
extinction in the direction of the GRB.
We thank the staff of the Observatorio Astronómico Nacional in San Pedro
Mártir.

GRB 130513A: Swift/UVOT Upper Limits
Date

From
Frank Marshall at GSFC <femarsha@khamseen.gsfc.nasa.gov>
F. E. Marshall (NASA/GSFC) reports on behalf of the Swift team:
The Swift/UVOT began settled observations of the field of GRB 130513A
25261 s after the INTEGRAL trigger (Mereghetti et al., GCN Circ. 14630).
No optical afterglow consistent with the XRT position
(Evans and Marshall GCN Circ. 14635)
is detected in the initial UVOT exposures.
Preliminary 3-sigma upper limits using the UVOT photometric system
(Breeveld et al. 2011, AIP Conf. Proc. 1358, 373)
for the initial exposures are:
Filter T_start(s) T_stop(s) Exp(s) Mag
white 25885 32269 1218 >21.9
v 26510 32924 1267 >20.6
u 25261 37138 1399 >21.6
The magnitudes in the table are not corrected for the Galactic
extinction
due to the reddening of E(B-V) = 0.03 in the direction of the burst
(Schlegel et al. 1998).
