The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB
"At 15:22:15.95 UT on 24 August 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM)
triggered and located GRB 240824C (trigger 746205740/240824640).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data,
is RA = 164.53, Dec = -28.50 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 10h 58m, -28d 30'),
with a statistical uncertainty of 5.97 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 36 degrees.
The skymap can be found here:

MASTER-SAAO robotic telescope (Global MASTER-Net: http://observ.pereplet.ru, Lipunov et al., 2010, Advances in Astronomy, vol. 2010, 30L) located in South Africa (South African Astronomical Observatory) started inspect of the Fermi GRB 240824C ( Fermi GBM team, GCN 37264) errorbox 6917 sec after notice time and 6925 sec after trigger time at 2024-08-24 17:17:41 UT, with upper limit up to 17.7 mag. Observations started at twilight. The observations began at zenith distance = 81 deg. The sun altitude is -13.5 deg.
The galactic latitude b = 22 deg., longitude l = 266 deg.
Real time updated cover map and OT discovered available here:
