The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 17:49:55 UT on 10 Oct 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241010B (trigger 750275400.960368 / 241010743).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 319.1, Dec = 22.2 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 21h 16m, 22d 11'), with a statistical uncertainty of 9.6 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 72.0 degrees.

The skymap can be found here:

MASTER-Tavrida robotic telescope (Global MASTER-Net: http://observ.pereplet.ru, Lipunov et al., 2010, Advances in Astronomy, vol. 2010, 30L) located in Russia (Lomonosov MSU, SAI Crimea astronomical station) started inspect of the Fermi GRB 241010B ( Fermi GBM team, GCN 37759) errorbox 1193 sec after notice time and 1232 sec after trigger time at 2024-10-10 18:10:28 UT, with upper limit up to 18.3 mag. The observations began at zenith distance = 23 deg. The sun altitude is -33.0 deg.

The galactic latitude b = -19 deg., longitude l = 72 deg.

Real time updated cover map and OT discovered available here:
