We have refined the IPN error box of the short duration, hard spectrum
GRB020531 (GCN 1402

 ) to the following preliminary 3 sigma polygon with
approximately 22 square arcminute area.  Its maximum dimension is about
10 arcminutes, which may facilitate deeper searches.
