Junjie-Jin (NAOC), Haiyang-Mu (NAOC), Yue Sun (NAOC), Yu-Zhang (NAOC), Pengliang-Du (NAOC), Zhou-Fan (NAOC), Hong-Wu (NAOC) report on behalf of a large collaboration:

We observed the field of EP261006a (Lao et al., GCN 45826) with the Beijing-Faint Object Spectrograph and Camera (BFOSC) on the Xinglong 2.16-m telescope on 2026 October 21. We performed image subtraction using archival Pan-STARRS images and measured the optical transient AT 2026aetp at the position reported by TNS (RA = 01:27:10.008, Dec = +12:53:26.88).

Our host-subtracted aperture photometry is:

Mid-time (UT) Filter Exposure Magnitude (AB) 5-sigma depth (AB)
2026-10-21 19:23:19.545 g 3 x 300 s 18.665 +/- 0.031 21.31
2026-10-21 19:39:05.961 r 3 x 300 s 18.968 +/- 0.061 21.26
2026-10-21 19:55:07.161 i 3 x 300 s 19.316 +/- 0.103 20.89

The g-, r-, and i-band filters were used for the respective measurements. All three measurements are detections in the difference images and the magnitudes are calibrated to the Pan-STARRS AB reference system.

Earlier optical observations of this transient were reported by Eyles-Ferris et al. (GCN 45831), Wu et al. (GCN 45852), and Pawar et al. (GCN 45966).
