We observed the field of GRB 261029A detected by Fermi (Fermi GBM Team, GCN 46071) and potentially also by SVOM (Goto et al., GCN 46072), using the 0.7-m telescope of the Thai Robotic Telescope network (TRT). A series of Johnson R-band frames were obtained.

The previously reported optical counterpart (O'Neill et al., GCN 46073) is clearly detected in our first image with a brightness of R = 17.41 +/- 0.14 at a median time of 2.30 hrs since the Fermi trigger, calibrated with Pan-STARRS DR2 stars in the field and not corrected for Galactic extinction.

Observations are still ongoing.
