The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB

"At 15:31:12.36 UT on 24 October 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM)
triggered and located GRB 241024B (trigger 751476677/241024647).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data,
is RA = 162.80, Dec = -1.98 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 10h 51m, -1d 58'),
with a statistical uncertainty of 14.81 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 78 degrees.

The skymap can be found here:

MASTER-Tunka robotic telescope (Global MASTER-Net: http://observ.pereplet.ru, Lipunov et al., 2010, Advances in Astronomy, vol. 2010, 30L) located in Russia (Applied Physics Institute, Irkutsk State University) started inspect of the Fermi GRB 241024B ( Fermi GBM team, GCN 37856) errorbox 22448 sec after notice time and 22476 sec after trigger time at 2024-10-24 21:45:49 UT, with upper limit up to 17.6 mag. The observations began at zenith distance = 67 deg. The sun altitude is -19.5 deg.

The galactic latitude b = 63 deg., longitude l = 240 deg.

Real time updated cover map and OT discovered available here:
